November 9th, will be the playoff round. November 16th, will be the Hardhats College Fanasty Football League National Championship Game. The teams from each division that have the best winning percentage will receive the playoff berths. If there are teams tied for these positions then the team gaining the playoff berth will be determined by using the following tie-breaker method. This method will also be used to determine another situation which might require it:

a. The team with the better head to head record of the two (versus each other)
b. If the tie still exists; the team that scored the most points versus each other
c. If the tie still exists; the team with the most points scored during the season
d. Finally, if the tie still exists; coin flip

The two divisions will be East and West. East will include the ACC, Big Ten, Big East, Conf. USA, MAC, SEC. The West includes Independants, Big 12, Mt. West, PAC-10, Sun Belt and WAC.

RULES

Rosters and Line Ups:

Each team will have a roster of 16 players.

Weekly Line Ups will be as follows:

1 Quarterback
2 Running Backs
3 Receivers
1 Kicker

Line-ups must be emailed to the Commish before any games start in which your team has a player playing. Example: Bob has a player playing in a Thursday night game but Lou doesn't have anyone playing until Saturday. Bob must have his line-up in before the Thursday night game starts however, Lou doesn't have to turn in a line-up until Saturday morning.

Scoring:

The Commish will email/post scores before Monday morning. Each team owner has until Monday at midnight to protest game scores.Only "starting" players will be awarded points for scoring. (Note: Be careful not to start players on their off weeks as they obviously will not score)

The scoring system is as follows:
Touchdown pass = 4 points
Touchdown run or received= 6 points
2-point conversion pass (thrown or received) = 2 points
2-point conversion run (by any player) = 2 points
Field goal = 3 points
Point after touchdown (PAT) = 1 point

Bonus points Along with the above points awarded for scoring, bonus points will be awarded to starting players achieving the following yardage marks:

1 point for every 10 yards gained rushing
1 point for every 15 yards gained receiving
1 point for every 25 yards passing
All yardage will be rounded down. Example: 151 to 159 will be count as 150.
1 extra points for every field goal made of 50 yards or more (4 total points)
2 extra points for every field goal made of 60 yards or more (5 total points)
minus 2 point for every interception thrown

Tie Games:

If there is a tie in the score at the end of the game, the two teams will go into overtime. To determine the winner of overtime, which ever team's starting QB throws for more yardage will get one extra point to break the tie. If they throw for the same amount. The second tie breaker is the team with the most combined rushing yards wins the game. If they are still tied, coin flip.

Trades, Free Agent Transactions, Redshirts:

Trading is unlimited. All trades must be approved by the commissioner. NO FIRE SALES!! Free Agent Transactions (pick ups) are limited to two acquisitions per week. Weekly free agent pick ups will determined by record, with the lower teams receiving priority. The two Free Agent Pick-up Rounds will go worst to first for Round 1 and worst to first for Round 2. You may drop and add any position, for example, you can drop a kicker and pick-up a quarterback.

Free Agents will be awarded after each weeks games results are compiled.

1. After game results are posted/emailed, I will post/email the free agent draft order.
2. You will have until Tuesday Midnight to submit Free Agent requests and drops. You can pick up two players, but you must drop two players. In other words, you must maintain 16 roster spots.
3. Free Agents will be awarded Wednesday. I will post/email everyone about who got who.

TRANSACTION DEADLINE...NO TRADING, NO FREE AGENT PICK-UPS WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER WEDNESDAY OCT. 16th

Remember this is a keeper league so you keep your players from year to year.

Redshirting:

A team may redshirt two players within the first two weeks of the season. Redshirts are limited to two per year and will determined by record, with the lower teams receiving priority. You may redshirt and pick up any position, for example, you can redshirt a kicker and pick-up a quarterback. Redshirts will be awarded after each of the first two games as results are compiled.

1. After game results are posted/emailed, I will post/email the redshirt order.
2. You will have until Monday Midnight to submit players you would like to redshirt and the players would like to add
3. Redshirts will be awarded Tuesday. I will email everyone letting them know about any player movement.
4. You may only redshirt the first two weeks of the season. So, the redshirt days are Sept. 2nd and Sept. 9th. If you do not use your redshirts this season with will be carried over to the next season. Meaning, if you don't use either redshirts in 2002 you will have four redshirts to use in 2003.
